Post-medieval copper alloy button. It is flat and discoidal and there are the remains of an attachment for a loop but this is now absent. The button is decorated with a central star within a circular border with protuding chevrons and a series of hearts around the outer border. It is possibly a livery button. Dates to between c1800 and c1900 AD. The diameter is 25mm and the weight 3.50g. Shares similarities with NLM-F22BA2, SUR-293816 and DEV-943792 on the database.

A cast copper alloy buckle dating to the Post-Medieval period, c.1660-1720. The object is a trapezoidal buckle with concave ends. The buckle frame is decorated with four moulded ridges at either end of the strap bar. The frame is drilled for a separate spindle. The pin is complete and remains attached. One end of the buckle frame is notched where the pin rested. It has a dark brown patina and is in good condition.

On each loop of the buckle are five moulded depressions. The strap bar is narrowed and the incomplete pin remains attached. Either end of the strap bar is decorated with a lobed knop. The rear of the object is flat and undecorated. The object has a dark brown patina and is in good condition A similar example which can be found in Whitehead, (2003), p63 is no.385 and 386.

A complete silver strap slide of probable Post Medieval dating (AD 1500 to AD 1700). The strap slide is rectangular in shape, with a D shaped cross section. The corners of the outer edges are bevelled. The inside edge is flat with filemarks present. No traces of decoration are present on either side. An early-medieval copper-alloy strap-end, classified as Thomas's (2003, 2) Class A, Type 1 (Trewhiddle style), slightly damaged at the attachment end. This would date the artefact to around the 9th century AD. The strap-end is flat in profile. The plate expands from a width of 10.0mm the attachment end to a maximum width of 13.5mm at the base of the split. From this point it tapers consistently towards an animal head terminal (W.: 6.8mm). The loop is D-shaped in form and section, tapering at both sides in stylised zoomorphic terminals. These are in the form of animal heads with crescent shaped ears, prominent and projecting triangular brows with transverse grooves, and elongated snouts. Distal end of a probably conical core. Worked around two thirds of the circumference with unretouched cortex on the other face. The cortex suggests pebble flint. The working scars show the piece has been worked to take repeated parallel removals off a prepared platform. The platform at the proximal end appears to have been deliberately removed by transverse strike and at least one further, very small, blade has been struck off the resulting platform.
