Post-medieval copper-alloy double-looped asymmetrical buckle frame, perhaps from a shoe, with white-metal coating. One loop is rectangular, the other D-shaped internally and with a pointed outer edge. The central bar appears to have been of iron and survives, although very corroded. There is a good parallel in Whitehead (2003, no. 598), also with an iron bar and white-metal coating; Whitehead dates this example to c. 1660-c. 1720. These buckles are usually small, and this one measures 26.37 x 21.61mm. It is 4.46mm thick and weighs 5g.

Incomplete and badly distorted medieval giltcopper alloy unidentified object, a parallel-sided strip, one end broken across a rivet or attachment hole, with another hole near the other end. Both holes are set off-centre and nearer to the same edge, with centres c.57mm apart. Length 62mm. Width 15.7mm. A few specks of gilding are extant, on one face only. Perhaps 13th or 14th century.

A late Early Medieval cast copper alloy stirrup-strap mount of uncertain class dating to the 11th century. The mount has five lobes with a central circular piercing at the centre. Moulded lines radiate from the centre to the junctions of the lobes and form six sections. The reverse is plain and undecorated. The bottom of the item curves back to form a flange at an angle of approximately 90 degrees giving an L-shaped profile. At the centre of the flange is a circular perforation, presumably for a rivet. A Medieval copper alloy horse harness pendant. The item is shield shaped in plan. The front face has a slightly raised surface which possibly depicts a lion rampant. The reverse face is plain. There are no traces of enamel on the surface. The top narrows to a short point- this presumably was the attachment loop for suspension but it has now partially broken away and is worn. This harness pendant is particularly small in comparisson to other pendants, and it is possible that this was used for on a smaller animal rather than a horse (Brian Read, pers comm).

A Post Medieval copper alloy trade weight. The weight is circular in plan and has a raised rim at the top, forming a cup shape. There are stamp marks visible; at the centre is a circle and arranged around this is a crom with a 'W' underneath, a square topped shield with a cross within, and a third unclear stamp. The 'W' probably stands for William III (AD 1694 - 1702).

Sheet copper alloy plate from a medieval composite strap end of circular form. The plate is circular but with an angular outside edge opposite a small lozengiform projection pierced by a single rivet hole. On the reverse all of the edge, apart from the pierced projection and a short length on either side of it, is followed by a thick deposit of grey solder.This would have secured a forked spacer (cf. Egan and Pritchard 1991, nos. 648-52). Length 27.5mm. Width 23mm. 14th century.

A Medieval to Post Medieval copper alloy mount, probably dating from c. AD 1600 - AD 1700. The mount is rounded in the middle, tapering to a point at the top and bottom. Both the front and reverse of the object are plain with no traces of decoration. A Medieval copper alloy stirrup fragment, probably of 14th or 15th century date. The stirrup has the remains of both curving side arms present, but they have broken away at the ends; the stirrup bar is also missing. There is a scallop-shell decorative moulding at the top of the stirrup, which may indicate links with pilgrimage. The scallop-design has deep grooving with a convex upper edge and concave sides and base. Behind the scallp-shell is a rectangular loop, resumably through which a leather strap was fitted.

A Post Medieval cast copper alloy buckle frame and pin. The frame has an openwork design. At the centre of the frame, the buckle is rectangular and there is a central bar for the pin.The outer frame arches on either side, forming a point at each side of the frame. The outer frame is decorated with a series of moulded pellets. The pin is is wrapped around the central bar. A similar buckle can be seen in 'Buckles 1250 - 1800' by Whitehead, number 496, page 80 (please see reference below). The buckle dates from c. AD 1600 -1700.

On the other, which is distorted, the symmetrically set figure-of-eight terminal lies beyond an opposed pair of lateral cusped crescentic projections. Copper alloy Dragonesque brooch head consisting of a long thing neck. The head is made from a curving teardrop shape, in the centre of which is a large ring and dot that has dark blue enamel in the ring and light blue enamel in the dot. At the point of the teardrop is a roundel (this form the snout of the beast) in the centre is a circular recess which would have held enamel.
