Silver possible ingot. Cast oval-ended lump the size and shape of a coffee bean, with a long (6.5mm) deep 93.3mm) slot in one side. The surface is black, either through corrosion or from a thick layer of paint or oil, though a scratch reveals dense white metal below. Similar objects have been reported from the vicinity (e.g. possible ingot NLM-930AB3), and a group were also severally reported at a metal detecting rally near Alford, Lincolnshire, in 2013. Cast thick sheet of a gauge apt to structural use, of thickness diminishing from c.7mm to c. 4.5mm, tightly folded into a rectangular lump, hammered at its ends, and indented by the driving or drilling of a tapered aperture from one side; the hole diminishes in diameter from 4.5mm to 2mm. Patinated overall. Suggested date: Unknown, 43-1800. Length: 34.8mm, Width: 31.4mm, Thickness (overall): 11.7mm, Weight: 102.82gms.

A cast lead alloy spindle whorl dating from the Roman to the Post-Medieval period, (AD43-1800). The object is circular in plan and oval in cross-section. It has a large regular central circular perforation with an internal diameter of 8.25mm. One face is decorated with a multi-pointed starburst pattern which is worn. Between the points of the star occasional pellets are visible. The opposite face is decorated with a series of worn linear mouldings radiating outwards from the perforation. It has a central circular perforation with an internal diameter of 9.20mm. The upper face is decorated with a moulded five pointed star and is surrounded by a slightly raised circumferential border. It has a central circular perforation with an internal diameter of 8.23mm. The upper face is decorated with a moulded four point star. The lower face is undecorated. The object has a light white patina. Similar examples of spindle whorls have reportedly been found in contexts dated from the Roman through to the Post-Medieval period although the majority are typically dated broadly to the Medieval period c.1100-1500.

Three raised pellets decorate the void between each point of the star while a single pellet decorates the object within each point of the star. A delicate copper-alloy ring which may or maynot have been used as a finger-ring. The date of this artefact is uncertain but it must be noted that it was found in the same field as a Roman coin (CAM-CC89C2). Both the coin and this ring were separately found encased in a lump of corrosion (See CAM-CC89C2) and it is uncertain whether a small amount of the original surface of this ring became detatched when removed from the corrosion lump as happened with the coin.
