Possible Early Medieval to Medieval (11th to 12th centuries) cross-staff terminal or head: The copper alloy terminal is an elongated trapezoidal which tapers slightly and has a hexagonal sectioned knop on the upper narrow edge. The mid-section has a trapezoidal void in the centre. The lower section is an incomplete hexagonal cylindrical socket with an incomplete spur or protrusion on the outer, opposite edges. The socket has a 15mm internal diameter. The surface of the terminal has a dark brown patina. The terminal is 44.15mm in length, 36.72mm wide and 21.09mm thick. It weighs 41.3g.…

Two adjoining copper-alloy sheet metal buckle plates of medieval date, c.1200-1400 . Both plates are sub-rectangular but are unequal in size. At the frame end, two projecting tabs flank a pin slot. The plates are held together by four copper-alloy rivets with circular heads, and there is a fifth hole from which the rivet is missing. The plate has an olive green patina. Length of plate:28.47 mm. Width:17.61 mm. Thickness: 1.99 mm Weight: 4.195 grams.

Medieval or Post Medieval (13th to 17th centuries) strap fitting, decorative mount; In plan the mount is circular and in profile domed with a lip at the edge. The dome on the outer surface is decorated with radiating grooves which have traces of gilding remaining. The reverse of the mount is undecorated and is hollow. There are two integral, oval sectioned studs, both of which are incomplete. The surface of the mount has an incomplete mid green patina. An incomplete cast copper alloy double loop buckle, dating from the late Medieval-Post Medieval period (c. 1350-1650 AD). The buckle frame has one oval loop with flat back and bevelled outer sides on the front; the other loop is incomplete . The strap bar is narrowed, possibly worn by the pin which is made of sheet copper. It is 51.79 mm long, 47.23 mm wide, 4.31 mm thick and weighs 13.9 grams. Whitehead 2003,p 53, No.294 illustrates a similar but more decorated example which he dates to c. 1350-1650 AD.

A complete lead token of medieval to post-medieval date, circa AD 1200 - 1800. The token is uni-faced and is sub-ovate in plan with one side heavily worn away and a thin rectangular section. The decoration consists of a large anchor on one side and is of Powell's Type 5. The reverse is worn so it is difficult to discern any pattern or lettering with certainty. The metal is a pale brown-grey colour and is worn. The token is 18.66mm in diameter, 1.32mm thick and weighs 2.65g. A fragment of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel of medieval date. The fragment is a handle sherd from a Purple Glazed Ware vessel, with a soft, soapy, buff coloured fabric. There are no easily visible inclusions present. The upper surface of the handle is decorated with three deep vertical grooves with corresponding pointed ridges and is coated in a dark purple-brown glaze. The handle fragment is 51.2mm long, 36.1mm wide, 12.8mm thick and weighs 24.8g. The purple glazed ware industry evolved from the Humber industry in the mid 15th century and lasted for about 50 years (Jennings, p.32).

An incomplete copper alloy buckle plate of Medieval date. This is comprised of two plates which are rectangular in plan which would have been riveted together and attached to a single loop buckle. The larger plate has five rivet holes although there is a worn break at one end where the last two rivet holes where. It has an engraved linear border and has traces of gilt decoration surviving. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle frame of Medieval date. It is as Meols type 8, with oval frame offset and narrowed rectangular bar, and expanded outer edge that has four evenly spaced projecting lobes. Most of the bar is missing due to old breaks. It measures 24.77mm in width, 18.07mm in length, 3.33mm in thickness and 2.40g in weight. This buckle frame is of Medieval date, c.14th century AD (as Egan and Pritchard, 1991: nos. 292, 318).

A cast copper-alloy object, possibly a pendant, of probable Medieval date. It is in the form of a lion guardant facing left, with tail curved over his back and behind his head, with head turned slightly and mouth open. The mane and fur around the legs is delineated by series of short transverse grooves, but any other decorative elements are obscured by the preservation of the object.
