Medieval to Post Medieval (15th to 16th centuries) buckle: The copper alloy buckle frame, in plan, is a sub-'D' shape with a concave apex to the loop. This is intentional, rather than due to damage. The width and depth of the frame remains consistent and the strap bar is only slightly narrowed. The strap bar and frame is sub-rectangular in section. The frame, opposite the strap bar, is decorated with obliquely angled grooves. There is a fragment ofthe buckle plate wrap around the strap bar. The pin is missing. A Medieval or Post Medieval copper alloy spoon: The bowl remains of the spoon and this is a wide drop in plan and is sub semi-circular in profile. The bowl has a broken edge where originally the stem would have protruded. This break is not too recent. There is no makers mark visible on this spoon bowl. The surface of the spoon has a well developed shiny dark green patina. The bowl measures 57.38mm long, 45.33mm wide across the bowl, 11.81mm deep and weighs 11.7g. The terminal of this face forms a portion of the interior of the vessel and the edges are broken and abraded. Mid to late Neolithic axehead roughout made from a tertiary flake of Langdale tuff. The roughout is thin-butted, double convex in section, has crudely rounded ends, and expands in plan from both the butt and the blade end to reach its maximum width midway along its length. Dates to between c3500 and c2350 BC. The length is 182mm, width 67mm, and the thickness 45mm. Other records of 'long' rough outs made from Langdale tuff include LANCUM-7BE356, LANCUM-799F15, and possibly LANCUM-79B9A5.
