Incomplete silvered cast copper alloy hinged T-shaped brooch. The wings are decorated with three incised parallel lines, just in from each terminal, but they are not concentric and only curve around the front of the wings. The copper alloy spindle survives within the tubular wings and the copper alloy hinge in the centre at the back of the head of the brooch, but the pin and part of the catchplate are missing. The buckle is missing it's second loop which has broken away in antiquity, just past the axis bar. The intact side is D-shaped in plan and has a trapezoidal cross section.The copper-alloy pin is from flat-sectioned wire, is looped around the axis bar and terminates in a point.Reference: Ross Whitehead, BUCKLES. 1250-1800. The bowl has a broken edge where originally the stem would have protruded. This break is not too recent. There is no makers mark visible on this spoon bowl. A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy sword-belt fitting (c. 1500 - c. 1700). The fitting is symmetrical and consists of a roughly rectangular plate with a projecting suspension loop. This centrally situated loop is sub-oval, having a length of 12.0mm and a width of 12.2mm.
