Post Medieval (16th to early 17th century) clothing fastening, dress hook: The copper alloy fastening has a central, elaborately shaped and pierced plate, rectangular loop and incomplete hook. The rectangular loop is opposite the hook and plain. The central plate has a flat back and a shaped front. On the front is a central circular plate with a raised rim within which is a raised square piece with four pointed oval indents, one in each corner. A copper-alloy ('latten') spoon handle terminal of the baluster seal knop type. There is just a stub of the stem of the handle surviving: enough to show that its cross-section was sub-oval with a diameter of c. 5.66 mm. The knop begins with a shallow double circular collar; the baluster part then flares out to a width of 9.46 mm. Above the baluster are a further pair of collars, the upper larger and decorated with longitudinally incised lines. Post Medieval copper alloy hooked strap fitting, probably a 17th century sword belt fitting. The mount has a raised round central plate decorated with an embossed design with traces of gilding: and an incised line running parallel to to the plate's edge now obscured by corrosion. At one end of the plate is a projecting oval flat knop with a circular hole in the centre filled with iron corrosion. A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy spur rowel (c. 1500-c. 1700 AD). The rowel is slightly convex on both faces. It has seven evenly spaced points between each point, there is an incised line. This rowel is corroded and has traces of gilding. It has the remains of the iron rivet and can be seen on both faces. Maximum diameter: 25.83 mm; thickness: 4.15 mm. Weight: 3.3 g.
