A Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth Group 4, flat wing ends type, West Midlands), Mackreth 2011, 4.a-4.b, 4c, Plate 46 of AD c. 80-120. The brooch is copper alloy and incomplete. The wings are semi-cylindrical terminating with perforated wing caps. The wings are undecorated. An incomplete later medieval or post-medieval copper-alloy annular buckle. The artefact consists of the buckle frame which is an annular double loop. The frame is slightly elongated, being an oval rather than a true circle. The fame is sub-rectangular in profile, having a flat back, straight inner edge, and a front face that slopes down to the rounded outer edge. A complete copper alloy domed / beehive thimble of Late Medieval dating (c. AD 1400 to c. AD 1550) The thimble is of the beehive or domed shape, and is sub circular in shape. A series of circular holes or indentations have been punched around the sides in horizontal and vertical lines. The indentations are in a circular pattern on the domed top. Two horizontal grooves are present as decoration just above the base of the thimble. The thimble measures 15.92 mm tall, 17.67 mm wide ay the bottom and 15.54 mm wide at the top. A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy spur rowel (c. 1500-c. 1700 AD). The rowel is slightly convex on both faces. It has seven evenly spaced points between each point, there is an incised line. This rowel is corroded and has traces of gilding. It has the remains of the iron rivet and can be seen on both faces. Maximum diameter: 25.83 mm; thickness: 4.15 mm. Weight: 3.3 g.

Post Medieval copper alloy hooked strap fitting, probably a 17th century sword belt fitting. The mount has a raised round central plate decorated with an embossed design with traces of gilding: and an incised line running parallel to to the plate's edge now obscured by corrosion. At one end of the plate is a projecting oval flat knop with a circular hole in the centre filled with iron corrosion. A copper-alloy ('latten') spoon handle terminal of the baluster seal knop type. There is just a stub of the stem of the handle surviving: enough to show that its cross-section was sub-oval with a diameter of c. 5.66 mm. The knop begins with a shallow double circular collar; the baluster part then flares out to a width of 9.46 mm. Above the baluster are a further pair of collars, the upper larger and decorated with longitudinally incised lines. Iron Age to Roman (-100 to 200) cosmetic mortar: The copper alloy mortar is crescentic in profile and an elongated pointed oval in plan whose terminals are slightly bulbous knops. In section the mortar has a 'V' shaped section which is narrow and quite shallow. On the outer face of the mortar, at the apex there is an incomplete integral loop. The side faces are undecorated.
