Mid Neolithic to mid Bronze Age chert D shaped scraper. It is roughly semi-circular in plan, sub rectangular in profile, and a pointed sub oval in section. The scraper has been formed on a tertiary piece of black 'Marles' chert. The fully invasive primary working has been retouched, short, semi abrupt to abrupt, sub-parallel to random, on most edges. Dates to between c3500 and c1000 BC. The length is 25mm, width 15mm, thickness 8mm, and the weight 4.8g.
