An incomplete copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of Medieval date. It is missing the pin. The frame is D-shaped in section with a slightly expanded outer edge. The bar is central and trapezoidal in section. This buckle frame measures 24.88mm in length, 20.05mm in width, 2.44mm in thickness, 3.50g in weight. There are similar examples from London (Egan and Prichard, 1991, p. 83, no. 337, 339).

Fragment of a large post-medieval tin-coated copper alloy double-looped buckle frame, both loops probably oval, one loop minus the bar only. In the centre of the outside edge an ovoid lobe is decorated with seven parallel oblique engraved grooves and is flanked by two narrower ribbed mouldings. The reverse is hollowed. Tinning survives only in the grooves. Width 47mm. No good parallel noted. 17th century.

Post-medieval copper alloy double-looped buckle frame, both loops oval, with a lobe at the ends of the bar. There are slight traces on black lacquer. Foliar decoration moulded in low relief, including a sexfoil in the centre of both edges is close to that on a larger example from Oxfordshire (SUR-4A4BA4). On the bar some ferrous staining may be from the pin and/or plate. 38 x 22.8mm. c.1500 - c.1650.

Two medieval gilt copper-alloy pins from disc-on-pin brooches, the central part of both comprising a disc with a circular central sunken cell, now empty. One is complete (length 26mm, width / diameter 13mm), and the other lacks most of its loop and pointed end (width / diameter 11.5mm). They can be classified as Redmayne's Type B. Williams and Geake 2005, 346-8, fig. 9a. c. 13th-14th century.

A copper alloy buckle dating to the post medieval period, c. AD 1600 to 1700. The buckle is a figure-of-eight type with two loops. Part of the pin is still present and is made of iron. There is very little decoration apart from two small projections, one at each side, where the two loops meet. This object is a Marshall (1986) Type IIIC.

Medieval copper alloy oval buckle frame in rather abraded condition with a slightly distorted, offset, narrowed bar, and on the outside edge and sides a symmetrical arrangement of scrolls in counter-relief. The object was almost certainly gilt, though no gilding remains. Cf. a frame from Oxfordshire (HAMP-800B46). 13 X 20.6mm. 13th century.

Front part of a medieval copper alloy trapezoidal buckle plate broken before the fold, with two rivets. There is a small amount of ferrous staining around the remains of the pin slot or hole. The object was probably once gilt. A figure depicted in relief holding an item in both hands is probably that of a gryllus or monster such as can be seen on a mount from Foulsham, Norfolk (HER 35718, NMS-910537). Extant length 17.3mm Width 13.9mm. Late 12th - early 13th century.

A complete copper alloy zoomorphic D shaped buckle frame, of Early Medieval dating (AD 1000 to AD 1100). The frame is an irregular oval (D shape) in plan, with an enlarged loop, which tapers to the junction with the strap bar. The strap bar is offset from the plan of the frame. The buckle plate and the pin are missing. A triangular pin rest is present at the centre of the loop. An incomplete copper-alloy composite buckle of Medieval date. It is missing the pin and the front and back plates due to old breaks, now worn. The frame is oval in form, triangular in section with an expanded triangular outer edge. Extending from the bar end are two integrally cast triangular forked spacers. These are separated at the frame end by a single central circular pin hole. This buckle measures 45.15mm in length, 24.15mm in width, 2.44mm in thickness, 5.18g in weight. There is a similar example from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, p. 79 no. 322).
