An incomplete copper-alloy mount of Roman date. It is part of a Roman soldier's armour, a groin protector and is a flat, shield shaped mount which has an old break at one end. This would have ended in a central hole which is now semi-circular. There is a circular hole at each side of the larger hole for seperate rivets, one of which is missing. The other end terminates in an oval knop which has a collar.

An incomplete copper alloy gilt mount of Medieval date. The mount is sub-ovate in plan. The main body of the object is rectangular with a collared knop at one end and a trilobed knop with a bi-furcate collar, that has a worn openwork trefoil within the collar, at the other end. Traces of the gilt still survives on the surface. The reverse is flat and undecorated and has two rectangular projections which would have been used for attachment. The metal has a mid brown-green patina with traces of gilt. It is 31.18mm long, 13.12mm wide, 1.91mm thick and weighs 3.14g.

A worn cast copper-alloy belt or strap mount of Post-Medieval date. It is in the form of an acorn with pointed oval shaped plate that is slightly concave on the back face and convex on the front face.The front face has the remains of moulded decoration comprising double transverse grooves at its centre delineating acorn and acorn cup, the remainder of the decoration obscured by post-depositional corrosion and wear. A cast copper alloy mount of uncertain date, most probably later medieval (AD 1300-1500) possibly from either a casket or box. The mount is broadly rectangular in shape with a rectangular section. One terminal is rounded and perforated by a single hole (diameter 4.1mm) the other end is broken. The mount also tapers in thickness from its widest point at the perforated end (3.2mm) to its narrowest (2.0mm). A broken and now incomplete post-medieval mount, probably a strap-fitting, with a pair of integral prongs. The mount is sub-rectangular in form with trefoilate short ends decorated in openwork. Most of one of the openwork ends has been broken off at its junction with the main rectangular plate, with the vestiges bent under the plate to one side; there is a small stub at the other side. A large copper-alloy mount, possibly a harness boss. The mount is flat, and comprises a square on a quatrefoil. A rivet hole is located in each corner of the square. In the centre is a long thin vertical line representing a tree; a pair of branches extend near the bottom and also near the top. Between these pairs, in both the left and right field, is a winged griffin or wyvern opposing one another. A complete copper alloy mount of post-medieval date. The mount is circular in plan with an openwork design which comprises of a central floriate design with a central hole surrounded by eight small circular perforations resembling petals. Surrounding the floriate design are four heart-shaped perforations placed at equi-distnace to each other with two sub-circular perforations within each resulting quarter. The metal is a mid-green, reddish-brown colour. The object is 29.72mm in diameter, 1.52mm thick and weighs 4.67g.

Treasure case 2014 T229: Acquired by Museum of Somerset A silver gilt Medieval mount in the form of the Holy Rood. The piece is a plain cross bearing the haloed figure of Christ crucified. Two standing figures flank the cross, representing Mary on Christ's left, and John the Evangelist on his right (as we view it).
