Copper alloy with enamel mount. Cast symmetrical mount comprising a central hexagonal plate flanked by opposed elongated collared lugs, each with a drilled attachment hole of diameter 3mm. The plate bears the device of three cinquefoil florets springing from a small tapered receptacle against a parti-coloured enamel ground, mid blue to the right and [now] green to the left. The object is now gently curved. The decorative use of enamel was especially characteristic of 13th-century Limoges work, while the three flowers could allude to the Holy Trinity. Copper alloy vessel fragment. Concavo-convex naturalistically modelled paw of a lion, with a circular lug with drilled hole of diameter 3mm for attachment to a small bowl, serving as one of its feet. The light construction of the piece, with detail retained as a negative impression on the hollow back, suggests this may be from a decorative item of tableware in Neo-Classical style. The head has an expanded nostril and has perhaps lost something from its top. Cast mount comprising a flat-based plate with higher central part with an integrally cast rivet of 5.5mm square which now projects c.13mm - its tip is lost - from the middle of the back.
