Copper alloy vessel fragment. Concavo-convex naturalistically modelled paw of a lion, with a circular lug with drilled hole of diameter 3mm for attachment to a small bowl, serving as one of its feet. The light construction of the piece, with detail retained as a negative impression on the hollow back, suggests this may be from a decorative item of tableware in Neo-Classical style. Copper alloy with enamel mount. Cast symmetrical mount comprising a central hexagonal plate flanked by opposed elongated collared lugs, each with a drilled attachment hole of diameter 3mm. The plate bears the device of three cinquefoil florets springing from a small tapered receptacle against a parti-coloured enamel ground, mid blue to the right and [now] green to the left. The object is now gently curved. The decorative use of enamel was especially characteristic of 13th-century Limoges work, while the three flowers could allude to the Holy Trinity. Copper alloy jetton. Hammered French Jetton, probably issue of c.1475-1500; Barnard (1981, French jettons no. 52) cites a comparable obverse minted in Paris dated to 1488. Obverse description: Lozenge with Arms of France Ancient [four lis], a pellet between each side and the circumferential legend, which is possibly punctuated by crowns. Obverse inscription: SEA[---]ISCE[---]A[--] Reverse description: Cross fleury with lis at the end of each arm, a crown in each angle. Punctuation of crowns. Reverse inscription: VIVA [----]I Diameter: 27.8mm, Weight: 3.80gms.

Copper alloy scoop from a seed drill. Cast hemispherical spoon on the narrower end of a slightly tapered round-section stem. The stem is stepped towards the other end, for insertion into a rotating drum. This class of object is frequently reported, and variously misidentified, often as an apothecary spoon or cosmetic implement. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1800-1900. Length: 50.3mm, Diameter (bowl): 8.1mm, Thickness (stem): 6.9mm, Weight: 9.07g.

An incomplete copper alloy Late Roman flat-bladed nail-cleaner with varying decoration (Group). Broken at the suspension loop, which is set perpendicuar to the main body of the nail cleaner. Several collars seperate the suspension loop from the body of the implement. The nail cleaner has broad shoulders before tapering down to a blunt point, which is bifurcated by way of a deeply etched vertical line. The face of the nailcleaner is decorated with a border filled with short lines. The inner panel has floral motifs etched into it. The reverse of the nail cleaner is blank and plain.

A cast, copper alloy strap fitting from a sword belt dating from the post-Medieval period, AD 1500-1700. It is the hooked plate from a sword belt. It is sub-rectangular in shape, tapering slightly towards the ornate hooked end where it is decorated on each side with a shallow, v-shaped notch followed by a semi-circular cut-out, terminating is a fleur de lis, the central feather of which is broken off, but which would have extended into a wide hook. Probable Medieval (12th to 15th centuries) trivet or candle holder: The copper alloy stand appears to form a three legged stand, of which only two legs remain. The legs are oval in section which continues upwards to form an arm with a possible zoomorphic terminal. Only one complete arm remains, the other is missing but the break is not too recent. The two legs are joined by an integral sub-triangular platform with a central circular perforation which is incomplete due to breaks. The breaks again are not recent. A copper alloy finger ring, probably of Post-Medieval date, about AD 1500 - 1800. It is a simple, broad hoop of thin rectangular section, without bezel. It is decorated with a stamped pattern of opposing equilateral triangles; each triangle containing a stylised fleur-de-lis. It has been made by bending a strip of metal and soldering the ends to form a ring. The butted join is clearly visible and the decoration is not aligned. A cast copper alloy, single loop buckle with an integral plate, dating from about AD 1250 - 1400. It has an oval frame with a broad outer edge and a pointed knop at each end of the strap bar. The plate is narrow, tapering to a point, and is decorated with two transverse ridges flanking a bulbous area. There is a single rivet hole containing the remains of a copper alloy rivet, and a circular perforation for the pin below the strap bar. The pin is missing.
