A complete lead alloy unifaced token, of Medieval to Post Medieval dating (AD 1300 to AD 1600). The token is sub circular in shape. The obverse depicts a raised long cross design with a pellet in each quarter (Powell type 14). The reverse is plain and undecorated. The token has a diameter of 15.3 mm, and is 3.0 mm thick. It weighs 3.6 g. The token is a mid grey colour, with an even surface patina. Lead tokens are a frequently occurring find, with a variety of different designs. A complete Post Medieval cast lead alloy sub-circular uniface token of Powell Type 2 . The token is decorated with letters HB which are joined and the other face is undecorated. The token measures 17.85 mm diameter and is 2.25 mm thick and weighs 2.73 grams. Tokens had a wide variety of uses and were easy to manufacture; they are therefore difficult to date precisely outside of archaeological contexts; those with initials are generally thought to be Post Medieval in date, c.1550-1800 AD.

The token measures 18.96 mm diameter and is 1.94 mm thick and weighs 4.88 grams. Tokens had a wide variety of uses and were easy to manufacture; they are therefore difficult to date precisely outside of archaeological contexts, those with simple designs may be Medieval or Post Medieval in date, c.1250-1800 AD.

A post medieval copper alloy trade token of Edward Swallow from Deptford dated AD 1668. The obverse depicts a talbot passant with the inscription EDWARD SWALLOW. The initials E.A.S are on the reverse with the date 1667 below. The inscription reads IN LOER DEPTFORD. There is a mullet initial mark on both sides. A parallel can be found in Williamson (1889, no. 192) Dimensions: diameter: 15.86 mm; weight: 0.78g. Reference: Williamson, G. C. 1889. Trade Tokens Issued in the Seventeenth Century.
