A circular, cast lead alloy button, probably of Medieval date, about AD 1200 - 1500. It is decorated with a plain cross, cast in high relief, within a narrow wire line border. There is a pellet in the centre of the cross and at the end of each arm; there is also a single pellet in each angle of the cross. The rim of the button is bevelled and decorated with narrow, angled cross hatching running from the inner circle to the edge.
