Another, even more common, variety (Funck 105.8) exists without the "SD" under the soldier's chin. Recorded mintage: 501,500 (Funck 105.7) and 1,100,750 (Funck 105.8). Elizabeth I shilling (judging by the size of the coin remaining after clipping) and the fact that no rose is present behind the bust. Inner circle on the ob is beaded. The shilling is of the sixth issue and the bust is type 6b as the very faint outline of the ear can sill be seen on the bust. Ob legend would have read as ELIZAB D G ANG FR ET HIB REGI. Rev legend would have read as POSVI DEV ADIVTOREM MEV. North 2014 Date is 1582-1600.
