Modern iron coin dating from AD1918. In 1918, the Rhineland town of Duren issued ten pfennig notgeld honouring the veterans of World War I. Another, even more common, variety (Funck 105.8) exists without the "SD" under the soldier's chin. Recorded mintage: 501,500 (Funck 105.7) and 1,100,750 (Funck 105.8). Specification: steel, 23.8 mm diameter. Catalog reference: Funck 105.7.
