A cast, copper alloy strap fitting from a sword belt dating from the post-Medieval period, AD 1500-1700. It is the hooked plate from a sword belt. It is sub-rectangular in shape, tapering slightly towards the ornate hooked end where it is decorated on each side with a shallow, v-shaped notch followed by a semi-circular cut-out, terminating is a fleur de lis, the central feather of which is broken off, but which would have extended into a wide hook. A cast copper alloy, single loop buckle with an integral plate, dating from about AD 1250 - 1400. It has an oval frame with a broad outer edge and a pointed knop at each end of the strap bar. The plate is narrow, tapering to a point, and is decorated with two transverse ridges flanking a bulbous area. There is a single rivet hole containing the remains of a copper alloy rivet, and a circular perforation for the pin below the strap bar. The pin is missing. A copper alloy finger ring, probably of Post-Medieval date, about AD 1500 - 1800. It is a simple, broad hoop of thin rectangular section, without bezel. It is decorated with a stamped pattern of opposing equilateral triangles; each triangle containing a stylised fleur-de-lis. It has been made by bending a strip of metal and soldering the ends to form a ring. The butted join is clearly visible and the decoration is not aligned. The ring has a rough, light green patina and has been partially bent out of shape. It is 17.6mm long and 16.2mm wide and the loop is 5.3mm wide and 0.6mm thick.…
