A copper alloy finger ring, probably of Post-Medieval date, about AD 1500 - 1800. It is a simple, broad hoop of thin rectangular section, without bezel. It is decorated with a stamped pattern of opposing equilateral triangles; each triangle containing a stylised fleur-de-lis. It has been made by bending a strip of metal and soldering the ends to form a ring. The butted join is clearly visible and the decoration is not aligned. The ring has a rough, light green patina and has been partially bent out of shape. It is 17.6mm long and 16.2mm wide and the loop is 5.3mm wide and 0.6mm thick.…

Copper alloy double oval buckle frame with missing pin and narrowed triangular-section strap bar. The outside edge of each loop is scalloped forming seven foils defined by deep transverse grooves, with slightly shallower transverse grooves between. There is a very slight trace of possible gilding on the upper surface. The reverse face of the buckle is plain and flat and the frame is now slightly angled. Whitehead dates buckles of this type to circa 1450-1600 AD.

Copper alloy scoop from a seed drill. Cast hemispherical spoon on the narrower end of a slightly tapered round-section stem. The stem is stepped towards the other end, for insertion into a rotating drum. This class of object is frequently reported, and variously misidentified, often as an apothecary spoon or cosmetic implement. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1800-1900.

A fragment comprising a single support from a cast copper alloy chafing dish of 15th-16th century date and a small part of the dish rim. The support is rectangular in plan with straight sides. In profile it is angled up and out from the rim at 45 degrees with an angled lower side, vertical outer side and an upper side which is angled at first then becomes concave towards the outer edge. An incomplete post medieval cooper alloy book-clasp dating AD 1550-1800. The object is formed of two plates of sheet copper alloy. The front plate is rectangular with a fantail at one end and a hooked projection in the centre of the opposite end. The back plate is of the same shape but without the hooked projection. Copper alloy vessel fragment. Concavo-convex naturalistically modelled paw of a lion, with a circular lug with drilled hole of diameter 3mm for attachment to a small bowl, serving as one of its feet. The light construction of the piece, with detail retained as a negative impression on the hollow back, suggests this may be from a decorative item of tableware in Neo-Classical style. An incomplete and corroded post-Medieval copper-alloy and gilded anthropomorphic mount (1600-1700).
The mount is broadly pear-shaped in plan (pointed end at the bottom) with a finial at the top and a three-pointed splayed terminal at the bottom. Moulded decoration at the front is in the form of a plain border enclosing a human mask. The mask has a severe expression and has a distinctive fringe. The rear face is plain and slightly concave and has two integral spikes along the longitudinal centre-line, one at each end. These spikes are incomplete and only the stubs survive.

A post-medieval copper-alloy mount with single integral rivet. The mount is pointed oval in shape. The front is slightly convex and has moulded beading along the edge. A post medieval copper alloy trade token of Edward Swallow from Deptford dated AD 1668. The obverse depicts a talbot passant with the inscription EDWARD SWALLOW. The initials E.A.S are on the reverse with the date 1667 below. The inscription reads IN LOER DEPTFORD. There is a mullet initial mark on both sides.

A cylindrical chape made up of stamped copper alloy sheet, dating to the 15th-17th century. The base is a circular disc fitted into the base, 7mm in diameter. The upper edge has V-shaps cut out of it as decoration and is mis-shaped due to post depositional damage. The longitudinal seam is no longer held together by sodler. The decoration is floral with a central row of raised pellets flanked by solid lines, and a similar sequence of pellets and solid lines at the top edge, leaving a blank area of 13mm before the edge.

A cast, copper alloy strap fitting from a sword belt dating from the post-Medieval period, AD 1500-1700. It is the hooked plate from a sword belt. It is sub-rectangular in shape, tapering slightly towards the ornate hooked end where it is decorated on each side with a shallow, v-shaped notch followed by a semi-circular cut-out, terminating is a fleur de lis, the central feather of which is broken off, but which would have extended into a wide hook. Copper alloy and glass fob seal matrix. Oval panel of transparent smoky yellow glass within a pressed metal gilded frame. The glass is engraved with the facing bust of a balding clean shaven man with sideburns wearing a cravatte or similar neckwear with a high collared garment; possibly with a buttoned shirt below. A copper alloy (probably spelter) medal struck to commemorate the golden jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887. It was originally circular, though now heavily damaged around the circumference. The obverse has a bust of Queen Victoria and would have originally bourne the legend VICTORIA QUEEN AND EMPRESS 1837 JUBILEE 1887. The reverse has the legend IN COMMEMORATION OF THE JUBILEE OF H.G.M QUEEN VICTORIA around the Preston Corporation shield.
