The broad flat top edge is thickened by a triangular sectioned swelling on the inner face. The lower point is just starting to bend back out before the break at the constricted neck where the rim met the body of the vessel. The internal surface is smoother than the outer which has smoothing lines from the clay mould. Both sides are extensively sooted and the breaks are old.
