Copper alloy jetton. Hammered French Jetton, probably issue of c.1475-1500; Barnard (1981, French jettons no. 52) cites a comparable obverse minted in Paris dated to 1488.
Obverse description: Lozenge with Arms of France Ancient [four lis], a pellet between each side and the circumferential legend, which is possibly punctuated by crowns.
Obverse inscription: SEA[---]ISCE[---]A[--]
Reverse description: Cross fleury with lis at the end of each arm, a crown in each angle. Punctuation of crowns.
Reverse inscription: VIVA [----]I
Diameter: 27.8mm, Weight: 3.80gms.
