A post-medieval copper-alloy mount with single integral rivet. The mount is pointed oval in shape. The front is slightly convex and has moulded beading along the edge. At the centre of the mount is one larger pellet, with incised lines emerging from it in saltire. The single attachment spike emerges centrally from the back. It is square in cross-section and has an old break at the tip. The mount is 23.4mm long by 14.2mm wide, 1.7mm thick excluding the rivet, 8.5mm including. It weighs 2.22 grams.
