Complete, slightly bent silver bodkin (head-dress pin). The overall shape of the bodkin is an elongated rectangle in plan and sub-rectangular in section, with slightly convex sides and tapers towards a pointed terminal end, the last 25mm of which is bent 90° from the rest of the shaft. The bodkin has two openings, one at the wider end which is circular and 2mm in diameter. The other opening is approximately 10mm further along the shaft and is longitudinal and 12mm long by 2mm wide. Neolithic, patinated off white flint, leaf shaped arrow head, fashioned from a secondary flake off a beach pebble. It has been bifacially worked with removals to 80% of its surface. The centre of the ventral appears to retain a polished surface. This may be a fortuitous result of some form of flaking, but there are no sign of conchoidal rippling so this is unlikely to be the result of artificial flaking.
