An incomplete possibly Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy unidentified object (c. 410-c. 500). This object is sub-rectangular in plan and cross-section. The straight end may have a finished edge and the opposite end appears to have been chopped. At the front it has two panels with a double scroll in each panel. There is a beaded border enclosing the panels close to the short sides and the finished edge. Due to wear, the beaded border and the scrolls in one panel are difficult to see. An incomplete and corroded post-Medieval copper-alloy and gilded anthropomorphic mount (1600-1700). The mount is broadly pear-shaped in plan (pointed end at the bottom) with a finial at the top and a three-pointed splayed terminal at the bottom. Moulded decoration at the front is in the form of a plain border enclosing a human mask. The mask has a severe expression and has a distinctive fringe. The rear face is plain and slightly concave and has two integral spikes along the longitudinal centre-line, one at each end. These spikes are incomplete and only the stubs survive. The …

A complete and worn Medieval cast copper-alloy circular uniface coin weight for a quarter noble (1412-1464). Withers & Withers 1995: 34 and 68. This coin weight is rectangular in cross-section. At the front there is a stamped lis with a crown above (crown is off-set). The rear face is flat and has fine linear striations. The weight is 23.4 grains and the full weight, according to Withers, should be 27.0 grains. This weight has an even green patina with small areas of corrosion. Diameter: 10.9mm; thickness: 2.1mm.
