A copper alloy (probably spelter) medal struck to commemorate the golden jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887. It was originally circular, though now heavily damaged around the circumference. The obverse has a bust of Queen Victoria and would have originally bourne the legend VICTORIA QUEEN AND EMPRESS 1837 JUBILEE 1887. The reverse has the legend IN COMMEMORATION OF THE JUBILEE OF H.G.M QUEEN VICTORIA around the Preston Corporation shield.
