Lead cloth seal. Pair of cast discs linked by sprue and clamped together. One side bears the motif of a bishop's mitre within a tressure with trefoils or lis on its cusps. The other side bears a W (or possibly M) with an annulet on either side within a pelleted circle. Patinated overall. The mitre was among the badges associated with the German city of Augsburg, noted for its fustian cloths. An early post-medieval date is suggested by the letter style. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1600. Length: 30.5mm, Diameter (discs): 20.0mm, Thickness: 4.6mm, Weight: 11.74gms.

Copper alloy scoop from a seed drill. Cast hemispherical spoon on the narrower end of a slightly tapered round-section stem. The stem is stepped towards the other end, for insertion into a rotating drum. This class of object is frequently reported, and variously misidentified, often as an apothecary spoon or cosmetic implement. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1800-1900. Copper alloy vessel fragment. Concavo-convex naturalistically modelled paw of a lion, with a circular lug with drilled hole of diameter 3mm for attachment to a small bowl, serving as one of its feet. The light construction of the piece, with detail retained as a negative impression on the hollow back, suggests this may be from a decorative item of tableware in Neo-Classical style. A cast, copper alloy strap fitting from a sword belt dating from the post-Medieval period, AD 1500-1700. It is the hooked plate from a sword belt. It is sub-rectangular in shape, tapering slightly towards the ornate hooked end where it is decorated on each side with a shallow, v-shaped notch followed by a semi-circular cut-out, terminating is a fleur de lis, the central feather of which is broken off, but which would have extended into a wide hook. Copper alloy and glass fob seal matrix. Oval panel of transparent smoky yellow glass within a pressed metal gilded frame. The glass is engraved with the facing bust of a balding clean shaven man with sideburns wearing a cravatte or similar neckwear with a high collared garment; possibly with a buttoned shirt below. A six character legend in Roman capitals identifies this as BRIGHT, probably referring to Radical campaigner John Bright (1811-1889). Copper alloy spur fragment. Cast figure of eight terminal to a small D section spur side. A pair of loops of length 23mm for the attachment of spur leathers are retained in the terminal; each comprises a rhomboid plate with traces of a rivet of diameter 2.7mm, a projecting pair of stops, and the looped part, which is closed by being bent back on itself. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1600-1700. Length: 43.4mm, Width: 13.1mm, Thickness: 3.6mm, Weight: 6.56gms.
