Enamelled cast copper alloy trumpet brooch fragment dating from the early Roman period, that is c. AD75-175. Only the head of the brooch and more than half of the bow survive. The foot, pin and spring are missing. The brooch was made from cast copper alloy with a moulded reel-and-acanthus-leaf decor on the bow - this, however, is extremely worn and hardly recognisable now.
