Enamelled cast copper alloy trumpet brooch fragment dating from the early Roman period, that is c. AD75-175. Only the head of the brooch and more than half of the bow survive. The foot, pin and spring are missing. The brooch was made from cast copper alloy with a moulded reel-and-acanthus-leaf decor on the bow - this, however, is extremely worn and hardly recognisable now. Even though the surface of the brooch is very worn, much of the enamel survives. The brooch was decorated with blue and red enamelled scrollwork. A rim sherd of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel of a Romano-British ware, probably Wheelmade Malvernian Ware dating tothe 2nd to 4th centuries. The sherd weighs 23.3 grams.
The vessel forms is a utilitarian type vessel such as a storage jar as the rim is rounded and everted.
