Cast shot, severely misshapen, perhaps in the process of firing as much by impact or subsequent damage, patinated overall, but of a mass over one averdepois ounce suggesting this may have been used for a muzzle loading firearm of military specification. Copper alloy mount, as identified by the finder. Concavo-convex mount in the form of a six pointed star or six petalled flower with a central oval ended aperture of length 6mm. One ray or petal has a small knop at its end, the others are pointed. Divisions between the rays are emphasised by incised lines. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1650. Iron staple. Wrought Iron U-shaped staple, with a residual point at one end of one arm. The object generally enjoys unusually good survival which indicates that the section of the object was rounded, though where corrosion has caused flakes of iron to spall away it might be mistaken for a squared section. This object was probably discarded attached to a substantial timber. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1800. Length: 105mm, Width: 87mm, Diameter: 10.7mm, Weight: 80.18gms.

Iron file. Wrought iron whittle tanged tool of rectangular section, tapering towards a blunt or broken end at one end, and a pyramidal terminal to its tang at the other. The object is shouldered where it meets the tang, which presumably engaged a wooden handle. Faint traces of diagonal grooves on the four flat faces suggest the identification offered. The extensive survival of metal argues a relatively recent date. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1650-1850. Length: 132.5mm, Width: 13.1mm, Thickness: 9.4mm, Weight: 52.63gms.

A fragment of a rowel spur probably dating from the Post Medieval period, probably the 17th century. It consists of two sections of a divided, copper alloy neck and a rowel of six points.The outer ends of the neck are pierced to take a copper alloy pin on which the rowel is mounted; this pin remains in place. The outer sides of the neck are decorated with shallow, diagonal grooves which give the effect of twisted wire (barley twist). A copper alloy mount or stud, probably of Post Medieval to Modern date, but possibly Early Medieval. It consists of a circular sheet which is 0.5mm thick, decorated with three wide grooves crossing the the centre so forming a star. A central copper alloy rivet attaches the stud to a smaller, circular copper alloy rove or back plate. The space between the front and back plates suggest that the object was attached to something that was about 1.5 - 2mm thick. The metal has a smooth dark green patina.

A fragment of a copper alloy Post Medieval or Modern probable finger ring. The ring is made from a strip of copper alloy which is 4.67mm wide and 0.88mm thick. Only 18mm survives in length and it is bent back on itself. The strip is decorated with a lozenge shaped design, and transverse bands of milling. It has a dark green patina. It was probably a Georgian fairground ring.

A copper alloy lace tag of probably Post Medieval date. It is a cone of sheet copper alloy, 6.2mm in diameter at the open end and tapering to a rounded blunt point. The terminal end is decorated with a globular collar decorated with four circumferential grooves. There are two opposing rivet holes near the open end, and the cone has cracks running across the holes. Instead of a lace tag, this object could also be part of a small brush or the terminal of a slender wooden object such as a pen. Compare WILT-71AAE6 and SWYOR-B1FFB4.

A lead alloy impacted pistol ball of post-Medieval date, AD 1600 - 1850. The ball has been fired and has struck a solid object as it is now a in the shape of a flattened disc with a slightly thicker centre. It is characteristic of balls that have struck a hard flat rough surface at high velocity and can be compared to examples in Harding (2012, Lead Short of the English Civil war: a Radical Study, plate 25). The leading face displays a pattern of radiating striations. It has a light grey patina. In its current configuration it is 25mm long, 22.9mm wide and 3.4mm thick. It weighs 9.76gm.
