A cast lead alloy,biconvex spindle whorl, probably of late medieval or early post-medieval date, AD 1400 - 1600. It is pierced with a central, circular hole (9mm diameter), in one side of which is a rectangular concavity. One face is decorated with a pattern of random pellets, the other side is very worn but has traces of raised lines in a lattice pattern. It is 25.6mm in diameter and 9.4mm thick. It weighs 28.12gm. Decorated whorls are usually attributed to the 15th or 16th century.

A cast, lead alloy papal bulla of Pope Nicholas IV (AD 1288-92). As usual, the obverse depicts Saints Paul and Peter. The reverse has the Pope's name in three lines, NICO/LAUS/PP IIII. The bulla has a light cream-coloured patina. It is damaged at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock where it has a vertical hole running through the bulla for the attachment string. The faces of the bulla are also cracked along this line. Recent damage has removed the patina and bent the bulla too. It is 36.1mm in diameter and 5.6mm thick. It weighs 39.87gm. A copper alloy pin of possible Medieval date. It has a discoidal head with a convex top and a flat base. The shaft is 0.8mm in diameter and only 10mm survives. The original length is impossible to judge. The pin is similar to some in Egan and Pritchard's Dress Accessories, but an earlier or later date cannot be ruled out. The function of this pin is also unknown.

A badly corroded copper alloy annular buckle probably of a type called a disc-on-pin brooch. It has a corroded circular frame with a constriction for the pin. An unusual feature of the frame is two recesses on the reverse of the frame. These would have held a separate narrow bar, which would have divided the circle in half, forming a cross with the pin. The pin and bar do not survive except for a tiny fragment of one end of the bar which is copper alloy but of a different composition to the frame. Very large medieval copper alloy bar-mount with two rivet holes in the terminal lobes and a large central pierced lobe. Between the lobes the sides are bevelled and there is a median arris. On the partly hollow reverse the rivet holes are countersunk, and there are file marks and a large patch of solder or tinning. Similar to an example from Leicestershire (LEIC-D14692) and one excavated in Hull (Goodall, A.R. in Armstrong and Ayers 1987, 204-5, fig. 117 no. 189).
