Copper alloy harness fitting or boss. Cast discoid plate with opposed lugs on the back retaining ferrous corrosion suggesting a pair of iron pins attached this object to leather. Probably from horse gear. Very worn, corroded, and distorted. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1650-1800. Width: 32.3mm, Height: 29.3mm, Thickness: 2.6mm, Weight: 13.57gms.
