An incomplete copper alloy English jetton, of the Sterling type (Berry type 1) dating to between c. AD 1280 and c. AD 1340. The obverse depicts a forward facing crowned bust. The obverse legend is missing. The reverse depicts a long cross with six pellets in each quarter. A circular punch mark is present in the centre of the reverse. The reverse legend is missing. An incomplete copper alloy openwork mount, of Early Post Medieval dating (16th to 18th Centuries AD). Approximately 75% of the mount is present. It was probably originally symmetrical in design. It consists of a convex openwork lozenge at the centre, with scalloped external edges. The remnants of a fleur de lys / lis are present at the base, and an annulet at the top of the mount.
