Object type: RAZOR
Broad period: ROMAN
County: North Lincolnshire

Copper alloy possible razor. Sub-triangular blade with a straight flat back and a blade now tapering to a point, possibly because of recurrent sharpening. Towards the other end of the blade it now narrows, though this is possibly the result of damage in antiquity; it has a straight and possibly original end here. This object appears to have been robustly cleaned by the finder. Suggested date: Possibly Roman, 43-410.
