A lead alloy toy watch dating from the late 17th or 18th century. it is circular and convex on both faces, though damage has caused a depression in both faces. The edge round the top of the watch face is missing, revealing the two pieces that form the watch and the hollow inside. A lead alloy impacted pistol ball of post-Medieval date, AD 1600 - 1850. The ball has been fired and has struck a solid object as it is now a in the shape of a flattened disc with a slightly thicker centre. It is characteristic of balls that have struck a hard flat rough surface at high velocity and can be compared to examples in Harding (2012, Lead Short of the English Civil war: a Radical Study, plate 25). The leading face displays a pattern of radiating striations. It has a light grey patina. In its current configuration it is 25mm long, 22.9mm wide and 3.4mm thick. It weighs 9.76gm.

A probably Post-Medieval (1600-1900) copper alloy hollow spherical probable button, probably a two-piece construction although the surface of the metal is so pitted the join is not discernable. Two perforations, close to each other, are probably for a separate wire shank. One of these perforations (2.5mm diameter) is at the centre of an oval depression, c.10x4mm. The other perforation measures 2.4mm diameter. The metal is now a dark green in colour and between the pitting, it has a shiny patination. Measures 15.01mm in diameter and weighs 4.76g.

a copper alloy shoe buckle with a maker's mark reading: "W / (W)OT(F)" on the chape. It dates from about AD 1690 - 1720. The frame is rectangular in plan and curved in profile. It is drilled for a separate iron spindle upon which is the copper alloy pin and stud chape. The stud from the chape is mssing, but was a separate piece rather than being integral. The maker's mark is stamped onto the chape. The buckle has a smooth grey shiny patina. Compare number 663 on page 103 of Whitehead's Buckles. This appears to be the first example of this maker on the database.

The sides are half round in section and baluster shaped. The sides project beyond the bar to form lobed feet. An iron pin survives wrapped round the bar. The frame has a smooth dark green patina. A fragment of a rowel spur probably dating from the Post Medieval period, probably the 17th century. It consists of two sections of a divided, copper alloy neck and a rowel of six points.The outer ends of the neck are pierced to take a copper alloy pin on which the rowel is mounted; this pin remains in place. The outer sides of the neck are decorated with shallow, diagonal grooves which give the effect of twisted wire (barley twist). Post Medieval cast copper alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle frame with one oval and one trapezoid loop. There are projecting lobed knops at either end of the recessed strap bar. The loops are triangular in section with bevelled outer sides and a flat back and straight inner side. There is a small indent in the centre of the oval loop creating a pin rest. The pin is missing. It is 28.1mm long, 16.1mm wide and 3.1mm thick; it weighs 1.79 grams. Whitehead (2003:91) illustrates a very similar example, no. 564, which he dates to c. AD 1575-1700.

It consists of a circular sheet which is 0.5mm thick, decorated with three wide grooves crossing the the centre so forming a star. A central copper alloy rivet attaches the stud to a smaller, circular copper alloy rove or back plate. The space between the front and back plates suggest that the object was attached to something that was about 1.5 - 2mm thick. The metal has a smooth dark green patina.

Only 18mm survives in length and it is bent back on itself. The strip is decorated with a lozenge shaped design, and transverse bands of milling. It has a dark green patina. It was probably a Georgian fairground ring.

A copper alloy lace tag of probably Post Medieval date. It is a cone of sheet copper alloy, 6.2mm in diameter at the open end and tapering to a rounded blunt point. The terminal end is decorated with a globular collar decorated with four circumferential grooves. There are two opposing rivet holes near the open end, and the cone has cracks running across the holes. Instead of a lace tag, this object could also be part of a small brush or the terminal of a slender wooden object such as a pen. Compare WILT-71AAE6 and SWYOR-B1FFB4.

The object is however roughly the right size and shape to have been a half crown of Charles I. The worn condition of the object suggests it may have been used as a touch piece, an amuletic object believed to cure disease and bring good luck.
