An incomplete Medieval to post-Medieval cast copper-alloy cooking vessel leg dating from about AD 1250-1650. This leg is oval in cross-section and is mis-cast, with a deep concavity in the wide end, and a hole and cavity in the other end which is rounded and tapered. It has a light green and brown coloured patina. Compare IOW-FA6317 which is a larger example of similar style.

An incomplete copper alloy foot / leg from a copper alloy cooking vessel of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1700). The vessel fragment is sub rectangular in plan and sub triangular in cross section. The foot / leg is expanded at the top and curves outward. The remnants of a central rib is present on the interior surface. The interior surface is coated with a black layer, presumably the result of sooting from being within a fire. On the upper half of the object parallel to the casting ridge is the remains of an integral projection, now broken, with a circumferential collar. A copper alloy unidentified object, perhaps a hook, probably of Post Medieval to Modern date, but possibly Early Medieval. It consists of a length of circular sectioned wire, nearly 60mm long. At one end it is bent into a loop. At the other end it is pointed and sharp. Several bends in the length of the shank make it's original shape impossible to determine. The object has a smooth dark brown patina, missing in places. Its function remains uncertain. It may have been a hook, perhaps to fasten into fabric, or possibly a pick type of toilet article or a pin.

Incomplete probably Middle Saxon to Late Saxon copper alloy strap fitting or buckle plate, a D-sectioned bar with two iron rivets, one through an ovoid terminal and the other before a bifurcation. Between the two the convex front is decorated with moulded chevrons that may constitite a stylised animal head. Beyond the bifurcation both incomplete narrow arms are decorated with three slight moulded swellings. An incomplete copper alloy openwork mount, of Early Post Medieval dating (16th to 18th Centuries AD). Approximately 75% of the mount is present. It was probably originally symmetrical in design. It consists of a convex openwork lozenge at the centre, with scalloped external edges. The remnants of a fleur de lys / lis are present at the base, and an annulet at the top of the mount. Very large medieval copper alloy bar-mount with two rivet holes in the terminal lobes and a large central pierced lobe. Between the lobes the sides are bevelled and there is a median arris. On the partly hollow reverse the rivet holes are countersunk, and there are file marks and a large patch of solder or tinning. Similar to an example from Leicestershire (LEIC-D14692) and one excavated in Hull (Goodall, A.R. in Armstrong and Ayers 1987, 204-5, fig. 117 no. 189). A fragment of a rowel spur probably dating from the Post Medieval period, probably the 17th century. It consists of two sections of a divided, copper alloy neck and a rowel of six points.The outer ends of the neck are pierced to take a copper alloy pin on which the rowel is mounted; this pin remains in place. The outer sides of the neck are decorated with shallow, diagonal grooves which give the effect of twisted wire (barley twist). Copper alloy spearhead fragment. Cast blade of a spearhead of ogival section with a pronounced mid rib extending almost to the extreme tip (which is lost). The object is broken as the blade narrows to approach a socket (lost), where it is already of hollow construction. The cutting edges of the blade are abraded, more so on one side than the other, and probably relatively recently. Suggested date: Middle to Late Bronze Age, 1600-800 BC. A copper alloy probable spangle of Early Medieval date. It consists of a sheet which is 1.15mm thick, broken on almost all sides. There is an incised line along the edge of the surviving original edge. The plate is decorated with a row of four raised blobs which are hollow on the reverse and look to have been raised by hammering (repousse). Two are along the complete edge, but two appear to curve away form the edge though they are truncated by a break. The metal has a grey brown patina with some brassy colour on the front. Compare number 48.6 on page 245 of McGregor and Bolick.
