A conical lead weight, possibly used as a spindle whorl or similar object of uncertain date. It has a flat back face and slightly flattened top with central circular aperture. This spindle whorl measures 27.99mm in diameter, 10.27mm in height, 36.07g in weight. There are similar examples from Suffolk recorded on the PAS database (SF-EFBE42), (SF-4DEBF3). This is a relatively simple cast lead spindle whorl that could be of any date from the Roman period onwards.

The widest part of the artefact is located a short distance below centre, where there is a cylindrical moulding with a simple grooved and ridged moulding at either end. A rectangular-sectioned bar projects upwards from above this moulding, tapering towards the apex, where it terminates in what appears to be the remains of a loop. A Roman silver penannular finger-ring with snake-head terminals and oval hoop. The sides of the oval -sectioned hoop expand towards the flat-backed terminals. The snake heads are worn and highly stylised and the only surviving details are the tiny pits for the eyes and a slight nasal ridge before a central groove at the rear of the head. The ring is an example of Johns (1997) type Bii. Date: Probably 2nd century AD. Dimensions: external, 20.9 x 24.5 mm.; internal, 16.0 x 18.6 mm; terminals 6.7 mm. wide. Weight: 5.7 g.
