Edward III pre-treaty series E groat with the initial mark of cross 2 on both obverse and reverse. All the cusps are fleured except the top two above the crown. C in Civitas is broken at the bottom and the letter V has a nick in the right arm. This coin has a Roman E in EDWARD. Date is 1354-55. The ob legend reads as EDWARD D G REX ANGL Z FRANC D HYB. The outer rev legend would have read POSVI DEVM ADIVTOREM MEVM. Inner legend reads as CIVITAS LONDON. North 1163
