A complete but damaged Medieval cast copper-alloy pointed-oval (vesica-shaped) seal matrix probably dating to the 13th century (1200-1300). The die is engraved with a central motif with a surrounding inscription. At the rear it has an integral pierced suspension lug with a central raised rib along the longitudinal axis. The central motif is two conjoined fleurs-de-lis, one above the other. Outside this is an inscription in Lombardic lettering between plain lined borders. A damaged copper-alloy single-looped spur buckle with integral plate of medieval date, c. 1250-1400. It is incomplete in so far as it is missing its pin and it has also suffered at loss at its terminal. The outer edge of the frame is expanded and thickened, being broadly rectangular with rounded ends. At one end of the outer edge the frame has been broken and opened out. An incomplete and worn post-Medieval cast copper-alloy spherical animal "crotal" bell (1770-1813). The suspension loop and part of the lower hemisphere are missing. The sound-'pea' is also missing. Only a stub of the suspension loop survives. The upper and lower hemispheres are divided by a prominent horizontal circumferential joining rib. About half way down the side of the upper hemisphere, at either side, there is a circular sound hole. One is slightly larger than the other. A copper-alloy belt or strap mount of probable Post-Medieval date. The mount is shield shaped, and has a knotched top edge to create a trefoil shape. There are some traces of gilding on the fromt surface. The reverse is undecorated. There are two integral copper-alloy rivets on the reverse. The mount is 24.8mm long, 14.1mm wide, 2.4mm thick and weighs 4,95 grams. A similar example can be seen on the database: WMID-BBE961

A cast tanged dagger or knife dating to the Late Bronze Age. The dagger is leaf shaped, slender and with a very thin, almost flat pointed oval cross-section. The blade is double edged with each edge being bevelled. The top of the blade is slightly shouldered where it narrows into a rectangular tang. There is a single rivet hole, 4.7mm diameter, with a sloping edge that is sub-circular in plan and slightly off-centre. The surface condition is poor with extensive loss due to corrosion. A Medieval copper alloy casket key with a perforated circular bow, c. AD 1150-1400. The stem is flattish and oval in cross-section. The key is 41.9mm long, 13.1mm wide, 5.3mm thick and weighs 7.84 grams. The perforation is 17.1mm in diameter. Several examples of similar casket keys were found in excavations in Winchester (see Biddle 1990: 1024-1036), in layers dating from the 12th to 14th centuries.

An incomplete copper alloy possible Medieval (c.1300-1400) circular pendant, missing its suspension loop. Overall, it measures 35.75mm long, 33.53mm wide and 5.63mm thick. It weighs 32.20g. The front face has moulded decoration showing a saltire cross with possibly an animal in each quarter. Around the edge is a pellet border. At the top is a short stump, possibly the remains of a suspension loop.

Fragment of Post Medieval tinned spoon handle, part of broken flat sectioned stem and expanded elaborate 'trifid' terminal, tri-lobed comprising small pointed central lobe between two rounded lobes and triangular projections on both sides. The face of the terminal has an engraved median line on the central lobe above a large saltire bordered at the base by a horizontal line. Surviving length 32.5mm Width 18mm. 1mm thick. Cf. Homer (1975) 43-7. Later 17th century, before c.1700.

An incomplete copper alloy Post Medieval (1500-1600) strap fitting, from a sword-belt hanger, missing the hooked end along with a rivet hole. Overall, it measures 28.37mm long, 20.14mm wide and weighs 3.47. It has foliate decoration on the front face and has a trifoliate terminal. There is a single surviving rivet hole containing the remains of an iron rivet. cf. Read (2008) Hooked-Clasps and Eyes, p220 nos.793-794.

A copper alloy strap end dating to the early-medieval period. The strap end is now broken in two, having been bent in antiquity and probably snapped through movement in the soil through ploughing. The strap end does not fit easliy into Thomas's 2003 typology; it has a zoomorphic terminal and tapering plate of Class A, however there is a collar between the main 'body' and the split end terminal at the rear, which widens outwards from the collar. An Early Medieval copper-alloy oval shaped buckle frame, Marzinzik Type 1.5, (2003, 306). The buckle has a D-shaped frame with a narrowed bar. The pin is missing. This oval frame is convex on both faces. No indication of any surface treatment. A similar example can be seen on the database: SUR-E5ABF2. The buckle is 30.3mm long, 16.3mm wide, 5.9mm thick and weighs 9.42 grams.
