A medieval silver (voided) long cross cut halfpenny of Henry III (1216-1272), probably Class 5b, mint: Canterbury; moneyer: unknown. In worn but fine condition. Obv: front-facing crowned bust. hENRICV[]. Rev: long cross, voided, with three pellets in each angle. ON C/ANT. Diameter is 18mm, weight is 0.36g.

A broken 13th or 14th century silver finger ring, crudely inscribed on the outside in seriffed capitals that read 'AVE MARIA NN' ('Hail Mary'). This was a typical religious inscription which may have been understood to serve an amuletic purpose by the wearer. Finger rings carrying a similar style of inscription and already reported under the Treasure Act include 2006 T442 found in Cambridgeshire, 2010 T223 and 2011 T666 both found on the Isle of Wight. A very corroded horseshoe shaped lead object. The reverse is relatively flat, the obverse has some decoration which has been damaged by shaping. Flanged decoration is GR and a dagger - possibly a London weight symbol. Possibly excess waste from weight manufacture.
