An incomplete copper alloy buckle with separately attached sheet metal plate. Only the bar and stubs of the sides of the buckle remain. The sides are D sectioned. The bar is narrowed and offset with a rounded cross section. The sheet metal plate is folded over the bar and has a central rectangular notch to allow for the articulation of the missing pin. One half of the plate is a little shorter . Both sides taper slightly and have rounded corners at the ends. A complete but badly distorted copper alloy strap slide. Originally a rectangular frame with two internal projections towards the back. A cast copper alloy knife end-cap. The decorative terminal is in the form of an anthropomorphic stylised head The head is depicted wearing a headdress with triangular ear-like projections at the sides and an angled front and ridge across the top and back. It is possibly intended to represent a Tudor gable hood or perhaps a simple crown. The facial features are formed with simple ovals for the eyes and a groove for the mouth but the nose is slightly in relief. Medieval copper alloy elongated tongue-shaped strap end made from two plates of sheet soldered together over more than half of the length from the outside edge. There does not appear to have been a terminal knop. There is a V-shaped notch in both plates at the centre of the inside edge close to a rivet. Decoration consists of a short median line of rocker-arm engraving, now very faint, near the rivet. Length 48mm. Width 8mm (the rear plate 6.5mm). The opening for the strap, which contains some textile, is 20mm long. 14th century.

The rectangular sheet plate has a pin slot, frame recesses and five rivets (two missing). Extant length 33mm. Estimated width of frame 25mm. Plate 25 x 17.5mm (front and rear parts of the same size). Late 13th - 14th century.

An incomplete and corroded Medieval cast copper-alloy conical seal matrix with a circular die and no inscription (c. 1200-c. 1400). The handle is hexagonal in cross-section and tapers from the die towards an incomplete suspension loop of which only stubs are present. Below the suspension loop is an indistinct collar. The die has probably been engraved and depicts a forward facing human head. The head is probably that of a Bishop or other religious figure wearing a hat in the form of a mitre and a garment with a low curving neckline. The facial features are clear and well defined…
