Gold finger ring with an expanded oval flat bezel engraved with a bird with long tail feathers. The bird is essentially made up of three engraved sections: the head, body and tail, with two linear bent legs beneath the body. The hoop is oval in profile and D-shaped in section, tapering to a more circular section at the opposite side to the bezel. The hoop is plain on the exterior and interior with no deliberate marks, but there are several nicks along both edges and a dent on the inside of the hoop, opposite the bezel. Fragment of gilt silver parallel-sided strip, distorted, partly straightened and with both ends broken, probably part of a medieval finger ring. On the outer face a rib runs along both edges and between two slighter ribs there is a central row of rectangular punched impressions. Length 16.2mm. Width 5.3mm. Thickness 0.8mm. Weight 0.52g. Probably 15th century.

Silver gilt dress pin with hollow cast spherical head, applied filigree and granulated ornament in the form of circlets punctuated by knops, a large knop extends from the apex of the sphere, a raised horizontal band divides the head in two equal hemispheres. The stem which emanates from the base of the sphere is truncated near the head.
Similar examples can be found from Hampshire (SUR-237365, 2013 T752) and Norfolk (NMS-BD3138, 2013 T634).
