A complete post-Medieval cast lead or lead alloy circular double-sided token (c. 1500-c. 1850). Powell Type 2.
The token has raised initial letters: T C on one side. The other side has a raised design consisting of two back-to-back arcs with a horizontal line joining them and a vertical line through the centre which is arranged almost as a fleur-de-lis motif.
This token is grey overall.

A two disc seal.
This seal is of the type used on bales of fustian originating from the Bavarian city of Augsburg.
Disc 1. Capital A with a chevron bar and an annulet at each side and one below.
Disc 2. Missing.
The seal has a buff patina overall.

Post Medieval (16th century ) chafing dish handle: The copper alloy chafing dish handle is incomplete and may have been sub-triangular frame in plan originally, but is now distorted. The attachment fitting to the chafing dish is still in place. This is a thick oval framed lug with a short circular platform protruding from the base. The handle has a mottled dark green patina. It measures 59.27mm long from the attachment fitting to the terminal of the handle, 58.25mm wide across the two handle terminals and the attachment is 14.49mm thick. It weighs 29.5g.

Medieval (c. AD 1200 - c. AD 1400) barb-spring barrel padlock: The copper alloy barrel case is octagonal in cross-section throughout its length. The surface is decorated with double-strands of small triangular cells forming wavy lines along the length of the case, on the upper face. Post Medieval (c. 1600 - 1800) tobacco jar handle: The lead alloy lid handle, in plan is a lozenge shape, and the handle is in the form of an eight-petalled flower with a central, circular knop projecting from a flat collar. On the reverse there is an integral sub-conical whose underside has a integral stud. The upperside has patches of a black shiny coating. It is 19.67mm long, 14.31mm wide and 16.75mm tall. It weighs 8.8gm.

An incomplete copper-alloy harness link, dating from the Early-Medieval to Medieval periods.
At one end of the piece is a damaged boss with a recessed pellet at its centre and a right-angled lobe projecting from its top and bottom sides. A D-sectioned bar extends from one side of this boss, terminating in a lozengiform loop with moulded lobe on each point. The inner edges of this loop are heavily worn, particularly at the distal end. The underside of the boss is concave and the underside of the loop is angled.

An incomplete copper-alloy buckle, dating from the post-Medieval period.
The surviving side of the frame is roughly trapezoidal, the vertical outer side extending to a pointed pin rest, a rounded projection on each corner and at the ends of the axis bar. The frame is of flat section and is decorated on its upper surface by a series of moulded pellets and scrolls.

Similar buckles are illustrated by Ross Whitehead, who suggests a 17th century date (1996: 83, cf. nos. 520 and 521).

An incomplete copper-alloy seal-top spoon, dating from the early post-Medieval period.
The bowl is missing, but much of the stem remains, surmounted by the knop. The stem is of sub-rectangular section and of roughly equal width and thickness throughout. The baluster-moulded knop has a flat circular top, into which have been stamped the initials 'C' (above) 'W D'.

Complete gold finger ring of Post Medieval date. The band is 'D' shaped in section with a flat inner face and curved outer face. The inner face bears the lower-case italic inscription True to thee yle ever be followed by a marker's mark. The maker's mark is either MB or AW and is in a rectangular cartouche. A circular bezel from a late medieval or early post-medieval silver-gilt finger-ring. The bezel is decorated with a bust of a female figure in high relief, wearing a headdress or hood. The figure is set against a hatched background. The face of the figure is worn and the gilding does not survive. The back is plain, and the hoop has broken off on either side of the bezel.
The bezel dates to the 15th - early 16th century.

Fragment of a Medieval silver finger ring, now almost straightened. The fragment is rectangular in plan and cross-section, twisted in the centre. The outer face of the hoop plain and undecorated. It is inscribed on the inner face: + (cross potent) HIS + (cross potent) [letter, possibly a b], or IHS (Jesus).There is no trace of gilding.
IOW-4FAD23 (2011 T782), recorded through the Treasure process on the PAS database is very similar to this example, also with a religious inscription, dated to between 1200-1350 AD.

Description: Fragment of a Medieval silver finger ring, rectangular in plan and cross-section. The outer face of the hoop is inscribed with vertical lines. The lines could form letters, hwoever they appear to read THLIH. There is no trace of gilding.
