Complete gold finger ring of Post Medieval date. The band is 'D' shaped in section with a flat inner face and curved outer face. The inner face bears the lower-case italic inscription True to thee yle ever be followed by a marker's mark. The maker's mark is either MB or AW and is in a rectangular cartouche. The exterior of the finger-ring is undecorated. There is a similar finger-ring with the inscription 'True to thee Ile ever be' in the British Museum's collection (1961,1202. 378) dated to the 17th to 18th century. A circular bezel from a late medieval or early post-medieval silver-gilt finger-ring. The bezel is decorated with a bust of a female figure in high relief, wearing a headdress or hood. The figure is set against a hatched background. The face of the figure is worn and the gilding does not survive. The back is plain, and the hoop has broken off on either side of the bezel. The bezel dates to the 15th - early 16th century. Dimensions: diameter 9.5 mm; depth 4 mm.

Fragment of a Medieval silver finger ring, now almost straightened. The fragment is rectangular in plan and cross-section, twisted in the centre. The outer face of the hoop plain and undecorated. It is inscribed on the inner face: + (cross potent) HIS + (cross potent) [letter, possibly a b], or IHS (Jesus).There is no trace of gilding. Curator's Report for 2014 T175, Medieval silver finger ring fragment Date: Medieval, 1200-1500 AD Description: Fragment of a Medieval silver finger ring, rectangular in plan and cross-section. The outer face of the hoop is inscribed with vertical lines. The lines could form letters, hwoever they appear to read THLIH. There is no trace of gilding. An incomplete cast copper alloy finger ring dating to the Roman period. The finger ring now consists of the bezel, shoulders and part of the hoop. The oval bezel has a grooved border with vertical groove running between two circular cells. These cells are filled with enamel; blue in one half and a red in the other. The ring can be placed into Daubney's Group 2 (provisional classification), and dates from the second to third century AD.

A incomplete silver finger ring. A keeled ring of Henig Type VIII. The hoop is oval and flat in cross section. It has broad carinated shoulders and a raised, recessed circular bezel which probably originally held a glass (or possibly semi-prcious stone) intaglio (missing). The bezel is proud of the hoop. the edges of the hoop flanking the bezel are scalloped. One shoulder has very worn incised linear decoration. One side of the hoop is slightly distorted. An incomplete gold finger ring. A simple stuirrup shaped ring with missing gem or glass setting. The band is thin, plain and oval in cross section. It expands slightly at the shoulders either side of the oval, hollowed bezel. The recess probably originally contained a gem stone or glas setting of sub-triangular form. A fragment of a silver Medieval probable Finger ring probably dating from AD 1200 - 1500.Only the bezel and a small piece of the hoop survives. The bezel is a square flat sheet of silver which is soldered to the hoop. It is decorated with crude incised lines; four or five short oblique lines extend inwards from each edge, and eight slightly longer lines radiate from the centre. It is applied to the hoop on a slight angle. The bezel is 6.9mm long, 7.4mm wide and 0.7mm thick. The hoop is rectangular in section and only a short length survives.
