A clipped medieval silver halfgroat of Edward III (1327-1377). Fourth coinage, pre-Treaty period, Series C (North 1148) dating to 1351-1352. Mint of London. North (1975, 38).
The coin measures 21.34mm in diameter, 0.76mm thick and weighs 1.994g. It has a ghosting mark of a reverse cross on the obverse.

Medieval (c. AD 1200 - c. AD 1400) barb-spring barrel padlock: The copper alloy barrel case is octagonal in cross-section throughout its length. The surface is decorated with double-strands of small triangular cells forming wavy lines along the length of the case, on the upper face. At each terminal there is two parallel transverse grooves as decoration as well. The lower face has file marks across it. A circular bezel from a late medieval or early post-medieval silver-gilt finger-ring. The bezel is decorated with a bust of a female figure in high relief, wearing a headdress or hood. The figure is set against a hatched background. The face of the figure is worn and the gilding does not survive. The back is plain, and the hoop has broken off on either side of the bezel.
The bezel dates to the 15th - early 16th century.

Fragment of a Medieval silver finger ring, now almost straightened. The fragment is rectangular in plan and cross-section, twisted in the centre. The outer face of the hoop plain and undecorated. It is inscribed on the inner face: + (cross potent) HIS + (cross potent) [letter, possibly a b], or IHS (Jesus).There is no trace of gilding.
IOW-4FAD23 (2011 T782), recorded through the Treasure process on the PAS database is very similar to this example, also with a religious inscription, dated to between 1200-1350 AD.

Curator's Report for 2014 T175, Medieval silver finger ring fragment
Date: Medieval, 1200-1500 AD
Description: Fragment of a Medieval silver finger ring, rectangular in plan and cross-section. The outer face of the hoop is inscribed with vertical lines. The lines could form letters, hwoever they appear to read THLIH. There is no trace of gilding.
Dimensions: Weight - 0.84g, length - 12.8mm, width - 5.4mm, thickness - 1.2mm.
Discussion: IOW-4FAD23 (2011 T782), recorded through the Treasure process on the PAS database is very similar to this example, dated to between 1200-13…

A cast copper-alloy strap fitting or hooked strap end of Medieval date. It has a rectangular attachment plate that triangular in section and on the flat back face has two integrally cast cylindrical rivets or lugs. At its base the plate extends to a hooked terminal, tapering to a rounded point. Two transverse grooves are present on the front face of the object at the juncture of plate and hook, and there are traces of gilding on all exterior surfaces. An incomplete cast copper alloy pot leg from a cooking vessel of late Medieval to early Post Medieval date, circa AD1400-1750. The vessel was probably a skillet or poset. The pot leg is sub rectangular in plan and D-shaped in cross section. The base of the pot leg imitates a hoof or a paw with 3 curving longitudinal grooves creating the 'toes'. Above the 'hoof' design is a horizontal ridge. The surface of the pot leg has an even mid green patina with a blackened carbon build-up.

Complete cast lead alloy spindle whorl of probable late Medieval to Post Medieval date. The whorl is circular in plan and bi-convex in section with a central circular perforation. Both faces of the whorl are decorated with a design of incised lines and shapes with one face having a ring of outward pointing triangles around the central hole and the other face having a ring of incised diagonal grooves radiating out around the central hole. The central perforation has an internal diameter of 8.8mm which does not taper.

A copper-alloy personal seal matrix of Medieval date.
The matrix is pointed-oval and flat, with a worn suspension loop at the top of the reverse. The engraved central device depicts a gloved hand holding a bird of prey, which stands to the right (left, when printed), the jesses hanging below the glove. This is enclosed within a grooved border.
When printed, the legend extends clockwise from 12 o'clock, and appears to read * S h:EMR' FIL' hEMRI PAVLINI. The reading of certain parts of this legend is uncertain; although the lettering is neatly made, both Es are retrograde and …
