A complete Medieval silver short cross cut halfpenny of John (1199-1216), minted by Iohan at Norwich. Class 5a, 1204-1205 (North 1994: 221, refs: 968-969). Obverse: [ ]NRICVS R[ ] (normal S!); Unclear crowned bust facing with sceptre Reverse: + (cross pommee) IOh[ ]NI; Voided short cross with a quatrefoil in each quadrant Diameter: 18.5mm.
