A Medieval (1150-1400) copper alloy casket key with a circular bow decorated with a single knop. It measures 34.19mm in length, 13.00mm in max.width, 3.93mm in max. thickness and weighs 2.86g. The stem is flat and oval in section, measuring 4.20x3.83mm below the bow. The bow measures 11.78mm wide with an internal diameter of 7.90mm. The bit is S-shaped, projecting 13.00mm and extending from the end of the stem. Several examples of similar casket keys were found in excavations in Winchester (see Biddle 1990: 1024-1036), in layers dating from the 12th to 14th centuries.

An incomplete gilded copper alloy Medieval (c.1300-1500) single loop trapezoidal buckle, missing a fragment of the buckle plate. Overall it measures 39.05mm long, 37.50mm wide and c.5.45mm thick. It weighs 6.99g. The frame measures 14.50mm long and 37.50mm wide. It has slightly bevelled front edges but is broadly rectangular in section, measuring 2.55mm thick and 2.50-3.10mm wide. The internal measurements of the frame are 9.10mm long and 30.05mm wide. The frame is heavily corroded but appears to be undecorated. An incomplete Roman (AD c.200-300) copper-alloy finger-ring of Henig type XII, missing most of the hoop. The incomplete ring measures 16.78x12.15x8.70mm and weighs 1.94g. The bezel is oval with a slightly raised rim and the internal area (now empty) measures 6.97x6.06mm. It would have originally accommodated a setting of glass, gemstone or perhaps enamel. An incomplete copper alloy Post Medieval (c.1550-1650) double loop oval buckle with moulded floral decoration on the loops. It is missing its pin and buckle plate, and the frame of one loop has been bent out of shape. Overall it measures 46.60mm long, 39.40mm wide and c.7.40mm thick. It weighs 10.01g. The frame is broadly triangular/ D-shaped in cross-section. The loop that has not been bent out of shape has internal measurements of 16.05mm long and 34.45mm wide. A complete Roman copper-alloy finger-ring (AD 200-410) of Henig Type IX (Guiraud type 9a). The hoop is polygonal in plan with eight external facets (octagonal) although the inside surface is circular in shape. Each facet and much of the original patina is missing. Where it survives it is a dull grey-green in colour. Measures 20.24mm in diameter (internal 17.07mm) and weighs 1.53g. The hoop is between 2.98 and 3.04mm wide. Henig (1974, 50) suggests that polygonal rings are a third century type while Crummy (1983, 49, ref. 1788) notes that polygonal hoops tend to be fourth century in…

An incomplete Roman (AD 43-70) copper alloy Hod Hill brooch, without side lugs. Both wings and catchplate are incomplete and its missing the axis bar and pin. It measures 29.54mm in length and weighs 1.55g. Both wings are broken at the point they curl forward to hold the axis bar and one is bent. They span 8.45mm. The head narrows to a width of 4.79mm in front of the wings where it is horizontal, before extending into the bow with curves forwards and drops to the foot. The device on the obverse is very worn but shows a fleur-de-lis. The inscription around the edge reads +S [...]ERI : BRID : DE : WA[...]. The reverse is flat and undecorated. Overall the object measures 48.35mm long, 33.35mm wide and 9.55mm thick. It weighs 56.35g.

A Post-Medieval (1500-1700) incomplete cast copper-alloy saddle pommel, consisting of one half only. It would originally have had a matching element in mirror-image, the two of which were probably soldered together. The surviving half is an inverted U-shape in plan, with a section cut off diagonally with an attachment wing below and a small knop at the top. It is convex, open semicircular in cross-section and has a low ridge around the edge which would have met the matching element.
