A base sherd of a Roman ceramic vessel of unclassified source and type (AD 43-409. The body flares out from the base at an angle of about 50°. When complete the base would have had a diameter of c. 50mm. The base is flat on the underside. The fabric is pink (Munsell Color 7.5YR 8/4). This sherd has abraded breaks. Height: 23.5mm; width: 52.1mm; thickness: 42.4mm. The body has a thickness of 7.3mm where it joins the base. Weight: 19.47g.
