A Medieval or Post Medieval cast lead alloy uniface token, c. 1250-1800 AD. Powell Type 30. The token is discoidal, with a central pellet surrounded on four sides with thick raised lines, creating a rough square. There is a thick raised circumferential edge. No further details are visible. There appears to be a raised, cast design on the face of the token, but the surface is too worn to be certain. The reverse of the token is flat and undecorated. A complete cast lead alloy token. The face of the token may have been stamped with an impression taken from a half-groat, which would date the token to the mid 17th century. The token is sub-circular in plan and sub-rectangular in section. The perimeter of the face of the token is slightly rimmed. The edge of the token is bordered with a circular band. A Post Medieval (c. 1500 to 1850) lead uniface token: The design consists of a six-petalled flower with a pellet in the field between each petal - Powell Type 1. The reverse is undecorated. The surface is a matte mid brown/grey colour. The tokens measure 16.68mm diameter, 1.74mm thick, weighs 1.8g.
