A cut halfpenny Medieval coin of Henry III, AD1216-1272. Reverse legend reads (legated) [...]/[...]/ONC/ANT/ . The 'O' and 'N', and also the 'A' and 'N' are ligated. Reverse shows a voided long cross (AD1247-1279) with three pellets per quarter. The mint is Canterbury.
Obverse legend reads [hENRIC]VS REX.III . Obverse shows the lower left side of a forward facing crowned bust, no sceptre. Class III (AD1248-1250). Die axis is 7 o'clock. Weight is 0.63g, diameter is 18.3mm, thickness is 0.7mm. Henry III's long cross coinage dates to AD1247-1272.
