A Medieval to Post Medieval lead alloy weight. In plan, the weight has the shape of an elongated oval; one of the rounded ends is slightly smaller than the other. The base is larger than the top face and the item has gently sloping sides. There is a circular hole at each side of the object, presumably for means of attachment. There are no marks or stamps visible on the weight. The object weighs approximately 113g, so the item was probably intended as a four ounce weight.

A Medieval to Post Medieval lead alloy weight. The weight is conical in overall shape; it is circular at both the base and top and has gently sloping sides. The base has a concave indentation at the centre. The top of the weight has a slightly uneven raised lip running around the circumference creating a slight recess at the centre. There are no marks or stamps visible on the weight. At the base the diameter measures 22mm, at the top the diameter measures 19mm. The object weighs 33.60g or 1.18 ounces.

A Medieval or Post Medieval cast lead alloy uniface token, c. 1250-1800 AD. Powell Type 30. The token is discoidal, with a central pellet surrounded on four sides with thick raised lines, creating a rough square. There is a thick raised circumferential edge. No further details are visible. The other side is plain and undecorated. The token has a dark grey colour.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Medieval or Post Medieval buckle, dating to c. 1350-1650 AD. The buckle remains consist of a double loop oval buckle frame with a central strap bar, but is missing its pin. The buckle frame measures 24.2 mm long, 20.3 mm wide, 3.7 mm thick and weighs 2.6 grams. For similar examples cf. Whitehead 2003, p53.

Incomplete medieval gilt copper alloy spur buckle, the inside edge of the plate missing, with oval frame, strip pin and D-sectioned plate with a pin hole, one extant rivet hole and three transverse moulded ribs. Broadly comparable with Whitehead 2003, no. 195, but with more pronounced ribs and the rivet hole through one of them. Extant length 29.8mm. Width of frame 14.5mm. Width of plate at break 4mm. 13th - 14th century.

The latter is circular with an integral sub-circular sectioned rivet on the reverse, and with the lower part bifurcated and folded backwards around a copper alloy spindle. Part of a Late Medieval copper-alloy vessel handle with zoomorphic collar and an attachment loop.
The main surviving portion of the handle is 'L-shaped' and of hexagonal section. A stepped knop angles outwards from the corner and a simple moulding, comprising a 'swelling' bordered by a pair of grooves and ridges, is located halfway along the long side of the handle. A copper-alloy frame from a Medieval single-loop buckle.
The frame is roughly 'D-shaped', having a projecting pin rest on its outer side. This pin rest has a straight outer edge and multiple transverse grooves. The frame is of rectangular section and the axis bar is offset.
Length: 14.6mm; width: 15.5mm; thickness: 2.4mm; weight: 1.77g.
Similar buckles were found at Meols, Merseyside, where they were classified Type 8 and dated to the late 13th/early 14th century (Egan, in Griffiths et al. 2007: 89).

Medieval (14th 15th centuries) dagger quillon: The copper alloy quillion has a central rectangular frame whose perforation has rounded corners. Protruding from each narrow edge, and off-set, is oval sectioned arm which is down turned at the terminal. Each terminal is slightly expanded. The surface of the quillion is abraded and has traces of a shiny dark green patina. It measures 69.7mm long, 19.39mm tall, 12.63mm thick and weighs 20.9g.
The quillion probably dates to the late Medieval period, probably the 14th 15th centuries.

The artefact consists of a trapezoidal frame with a pair of opposing, inward-pointing projections at the narrower end. The sides are of rectangular section, with a wider cuboidal block at the centre of the longest side.

A complete lead alloy uniface token of late Medieval to early Post Medieval date, circa 1400-1700. The token is sub-triangular in plan, with rounded corners, and irregular in section. There appears to be a raised, cast design on the face of the token, but the surface is too worn to be certain. The reverse of the token is flat and undecorated. The token has a mottled mid grey and light green patina and is worn as a result of movement in the plough soil. Lead tokens were used throughout the Medieval and Post Medieval periods as a substitute for low denomination currency.
